FORGE BOV question

hey guys i haev a forge BOV and the way its hooked up is charge pipe to bov and then to the intake. i was wondering if i can plug the intake tube and just let the bov vent to atmosphere?

pic below. the samco tube thing that is on it goes to the charge pipe. the tube i removed went to intake. is it ok to vent to @mosphere? the main reason behind this is the damn thing rubs against a heat shield and it ***King up my bov i just wann twist it to the side and move it away from the heat shield.

thanks

You can do it, but your car might and will most likely run like crap. I would recommend against running VTA. And if its rubbing you may not have everything lined up correctly.

I helped a friend install shifter bushings and before we started his DV was rubbing the heat shield, after it wasn't. So how he had it before we took it apart was, I guess you could say installed incorrectly.
