Let my dad drive my car tonight.
I let my dad take my 04 STI for a spin while it was still stock not to long after I had purchased it. Then I purchased the Evo, and went over to his house to visit and he noticed "so you bougth an new car huh?" I said "yeah." "What kind of car is this and what makes it different from the Subaru?" I told him a few things and then we went in the house to eat diner. Then while I was sitting there he went out side to the garage for a few minutes and came back in side and said "Here." giving me a sign to toss him the keys. So I did. He went for spin and came back. "Damn!, that cars fast! Its definately faster than your last car. Whats that thing run in the quarter?" I thought it was pretty good entertainment.

Im going to be a junior at Pitt and havent havent taken my car to school yet since its in the city so when im at school it just sits in the garage. My dad takes it out here and there just so it doesnt sit for 3 months at a time. He called me when i was at school and told me a story about it that just made me miss my car even more. Some worked mustang gt rolled up next to him at a light and the kids saw my dad driving and started talking **** out the window since he is near 58 and reving there mustang up. Light turns green and my dad just put the pedal to the floor and absolutly smoked them. He slowed down to see what they had to say now and they just rolled up there windows and passed him.

First time he drove my "Jap Car" he drove it like a pro and the first words out of his mouth were: "holy sh&t" ...... and ...."how many cylinders?" ....followed by...."what is the speed limit on this road........jeezus"

Haha. Funny, I let my dad drive my car also for the first time in his life this weekend. And he actually made it around the block. Did I mention he stalled 3-4 times, lolz lol: I was nervous as hellz and couldnt say no to the pops.
I get my learning skills from him tho. So I think a few more runs and he'll get it down enough to feel the true power of the eVo.

I let my mom's husband drive my evo last week, and he loves it! He has an old Supra that needs a lot of work, and I think now after driving my car he's going to fix his Supra up. My mom was pretty freaked out though, especially when the boost kicked in. I laughed the whole time.
Since we are on the subject of dads driving our cars, went over last night to show him the new ride. He's in his 60s thinking about getting a Corvette as his retirement ride. He comes out to see the car and starts the old tire kicking routine and asking about gas mileage and stuff, and why is there a big wing, 'is it going to Mars?'. I hand him the keys and tell him to go for a spin and see what an economical car 
it really is. My dad has never driven anything faster then a Benzi 560SEL. Gets in the driver seat and looks over what he thinks he needs to know to get the car going. All systems check....ignition and he's off...(did I mention my Dads neighborhood is all twisty backroads. His house sits on a curve going downhill, which is the apparent route he takes. Suprisingly he gets on it going down the hill, but 3/4th down the way I see the red lights come on and him turning around. Pulls up into his driveway and hands me the keys and says, ok I'm done....LOL.
