You can give your kids a nice car, but you cant drive it for them. 17yr boy+girls+showing off+rocket ship of a sports car=accident. Parents have to be more responsible!

The Impact on the side is clearly from either a thin tree or a telephone pole, It seems to be the initial point of impact prior to plunging off the edge of the road. Seems like he probably went around a corner a little too fast lost control and slid out and then side impacted a tree at around 40-50 mph.
