Oh a funny thing I forgot to mention. When AMS ran their 8.56 time a piece of the door flew off into the other lane and registered a 8.00 1/4 time, the piece of shrapnel was going faster then the car
That's mike99gsx on here. It's pretty bad.
Best before today is a 10.4 and 144mph traps iirc. I have no idea what he ran today. Tell us Mike.Very nice pix. Thank you for sharing.

The EVO VS WRX class did have a rule that the EVO could not run bigger than a stock appearing turbo, the WRX's could run any size, this was to even the playing field. The EVO's won 11 rounds compared to the Subi's 4 rounds in that class. EVO's finished 1-2-3 in that class.
When the door blew off of AMS car the car in the other lane actually registered an 8.43, it was not that the door was traveling faster, it was that the car in the other lane treed AMS so when the door passed in front of the finish lights it registered such a fast ET.
The other car that ended up registering an 8.00 had some rediculous stuff written on it's back window about tuning and pump gas, it was smoking so badly that the smoke on the starting line actually kept the stage beams on, the car was 2+ seconds into the run by the time it cleared..................
Great event, I will write up a review this week when I get all the results of people counts etc.

Ok. I've got a crapload of video from about 11am to 2pm including the 9.09 second buschur run. This is new to me so I don't know how to post it conventionally, but I do have a crappy quality version of the 9 second run up on my myspace page. My myspace handle is "SVT Mike" if you want to go check it out, just go to the video section of my profile. I don't know why the quality took such a downturn, but I have high quality versions on my hard drive
If anyone can help me post up and give me info on how-to, lemme know.

It was a great event and I hope everyone who attended had a great time
I think the Subarus did great this year we had some good wrx to evo competition and the Subaru side actually won 4 of the match ups against evos
Not to mention - my 9 second evo was beat in braket racing by a nearly stock STI - (after bogged off the line)
The weather was really nice and as always Ohio is a very senic and relaxing place to visit
I had some problems with my car this weekend - I ran a time of 9.8 @ 154 and then things went bad and I could not get a better pass
My 02 sesnor went bad - fixed that and the boost controller went bad and then the ignition box shorted out
On the positive side - the engine (Buschur) and trans (Shep) are still going strong and ran without incident all day long
I have the major stuff all sorted out but the loose ends are taking up a lot of time to square them all away. The great thing about this is that I had a wonderful day working on my car and getting as many runs as I wanted at a wonderful track. As a tuner I love to imerse myself in working out these minor bugs and it was a very satisfying day in that regard even though the end results basically were just more of the same over and over as I have done so many times already.
It seems like a 9 second Evo is not really a big deal anymore. While its very rewarding to me on a personal level to drive such a machine - it seems very old news with the ams and Buschur evos now in the 8 second range it seems very far away from my set up. It reminds me when I was out racing stuck on 11.1 and 10.9 and Turbo Trixs came out and started running 9's - I was like DAMM - thats going to be impossible to beat. Anyway - now I am going high 9's with ease and it seems like low 8's are righ around the corner for ams and Buschur and I am once again light years away and in need of some radical changes.
It was good to see so many people having fun and not to mention the chance to take so many passes on my car in the test session at the end of the day - I was doing 60 's and backing up and going again and again - it was a great day
Sadly - the Buschur Race car with the Gt42 had an incident while winning the dyno contest the day before when something flew into the turbo wheel breaking off part of a fin thereby cripling the car's hopes - still amazing to see it break its all time mph record with a 165.68
Also amazing to me was to was David's street daily driver RS with DVD - stock everything on the body going 9.9 @ 148 mph - to me totally shocking - it was on street radials - this feat is really a lot more inpressive than anything else I have seen with evos to date - a car that really can road race - auto cross and goes 9 as a fully street legal daily driver
After the race Mike and David drove the RS to the Pizza Hut for our traditional post race dinner and it idles - drives and functions as any other mildly modified evo - only difference is that its just as fast as my drag evo
Either I am doing something wrong and need to give up racing my car or David is doing something very right with that white car
Thanks to Buschur Racing and David Buschur for giving us the chace to race on one of the USA"s best tracks
