Weird Sound Coming From My Evo MR

My 06 Evo MR has 15000 Miles with an AMS TBE, Intake, Base Flash, and still on Stock Clutch. I didnt notice it at first, but after launching a few times I noticed a sound coming from the front of my car everytime I let off the gas, but when gas is applied the sound goes completely away also when pressing the clutch all the way down it goes away and when releasing the clutch slowly the sound comes back.

The sound was very feint at first and now it has gotten much louder. It sounds like a rattle or very fast pace clicking. Does anyone know what this sound is and is it something serious like maybe a transmission problem or bad transfer case?

could be or it could be the throw out bearing.... stock clutch doesnt hold up very well to drag launches on Advan tires. By any chance... did you smell anything funny after launching it

I hate sounds. My entire interior rattles. The glove box, the center console faceplate, the lower gauge panel, the a pillar, the passenger seatbelt holder. Now I've got a metal creaking noise in the right strut after hitting a dip in the road.

Such is life. The engine more than makes up for the nuisances.

Your problem though--is most likely the clutch. But to find out for sure, stick in fifth gear going slow(er), and gun it. If it slips, than your clutch is going out.
