Mitsubishi couldn't even diagnose my problem! lol
Any DSM with an EPROM ECU can be chipped and the chip can be "flashed". You can buy taylored chips at keydiverchips.com, for example, that are modified for appropriate injector size, dead time, MAS type, etc.
DSMLink allows you to do the modifications yourself, and then save them to your chip. Very similar to a full standalone in performance potential, with the inclusion of the factory maps.
Just some info for your reading pleasure.

"Sorry, I don't agree with these either.
- It does not all sound like a boost leak
- He said his boost hits 10-12psi then the car sputters
- BC has been changed already - going back to the stock boost system is not necessary
- Putting the car back to stock doesn't rule out ignition problems nor the ECU. You rule those out by CHANGING the ignition pieces. Putting the car back to stock is the longest path towards ruling out the ignition as the problem. As for the ECU, he could put in a stock map or retune, but going back to stock doesn't help figure that out."
I dont agree with your logic. Putting it back to the way it was before, and checking components as you go along is what a tech. would do..slapping parts on without reason is what a mechanic or someone slanging parts would do.
I dont remember this car having ignition problems before these mods were installed..so I dont see your logic there. you can boost up to the point where the pressure makes the problem area purge and make the car lose power. also, the MBC was not the only thing that would cause this condition.
if you want any 1 of a thousand ways this could make this car have this type of driveability problem go to www.dsmtuners.com and search boost leak.

I had the same problem...
Hi there, I had this same problem when I installed the Hallman boost controller. Did you try to crank the boost controller up to the max setting on the stock spring? I fixed this problem by swapping out the stock spring with the stiffer spring supplied by Hallman. After doing so, with a couple of test drive spools, I was able to dial in at 22psi. Hope this works!
