No, dude, there is no safe mode if your stock BCS isn't connected. Think about it...how would the ECU limit your boost if it's not connected to the boost system?

Did you ever try adjusting your wastegate? Try turning it a few times to adjust the pre load? I am just grasping at this point because I am stumped.

Even when I run the mbc on there with it set to low boost I run 12psi.

I am stumped!!!!!!

Me too

I'm really starting to give up. . . I've met up with 4 other people and they are stumped too. . . I mean I have tried pretty much everything!! And I have spent quite a bit of money ordering parts to try and find the problem

what really gets me though, is that whether I run an mbc at high setting or low setting I run 10-12psi. And when i'm running an open wastegate (which should go well over 30psi) I run 10-12 psi

Might be a problem with the internal wastegate itself, which is inside the hotside.

did he change his boost gauge? or test another gauge with tubing? I am assuming short cuts or you are missing something obvious...

did you happen to get the hotside coated or anything at any time?
i got mine coasted it made the flapper sticky and this made TONS of boost issues
also if the flapper is broken or missing youll only run wastegate pressure ALL the time
next time you check the car take the wga arm off the hotside and manually move the flapper see if you can hear it moving inside or if it moves weird
at this point this is the only thing left in your entire boost equation

EDIT saw you bought a new 10.5 hotside
this is out of control

Nope it was never coated. . It sounds just as it should. . .

As far as the mbc, i've tried 3 different boost controllers, and ran open wastegate. . Same thing everytime . . 12psi. . . And the wastegate is an FP wastegate adjusted to the "high setting". (and yes ive tried lowering the preload, and raising it, didn't help.)

Just a reminder that I remembered today: I had a turbo xs mbc hooked up (wrong) and i'm not sure what or if that could have caused this problem. . But one day at the track I couldnt get over 13-14psi, so I tried open wastegate. . same problem. . then about 3 days later I couldnt get above 6-8 psi (so we assumed bad wastegate)

-Changed the following:
new wastegate
new manifold
new o2 housing
new 10.5 hotside
new boost controller(installed correctly lol)
new plug wires
new plugs (4 times in the past two months just to test)
