ok. Do you guys think it is a good idea to use a torch to heat up that piece and bend it ???

what's wrong with you? just put all the bolts and nuts in loose... if it all lines up tighten. if it doesn't keep trying. or did you forget that you'd need to use the bolts to bend the bracket even if you heated it up?

I tried the loose bolts idea. The hole for the 4th bolt, the one with blue tape around it, doesn't line up with the hole and is 1/2" above the hole at an angle. If I start bolting that hole first, the whole rail is in the air. I don't want to put any pressure on it so I don't damage the threaded hole or body around it.

If I break the rail screw it, my loss, but I don't want to do any damage to the car just to lower the seat.

For the $ I paid, I would assume everything would fit perfectly, I guess I was wrong.. THANK YOU HKS

All I need to do is just bend that piece, but that motherFer is short and thick. Not sure how much force or heat (unless its heat treated) will take to get it moving...

i don't see how it can be half an inch higher and still not fit... there's tons of orientations that will not fit how long has you tried to put the loose bolts together?

my bride bracket is just as expensive and well made... it doesn't just drop in. you have to install it.

well I bought rails for both driver side and passenger, and passenger has no problems with the mounting, only driver side does. Its clear that the mount somehow got damaged.

I have no idea how this thing could get bent , unless quality control guy @ HKS is ..

Got me a 4lb sledge hammer , hope it will work....
