anyway to make stock cat work with CB?

I was trying to hook up the stock cat to my 3'' exhaust, the side of the cat that has the bolts welded on won't bolt up unfortunatley.

Is my best option to run a HFC or would it make sense to widen the bolt holes in the CB?

Wanted to run a stock cat for sound/emissions.... I've got a testpipe now

Thanks...

yeah mine works just fine. I started with an EVO 8 cat, ended up with a EVO 9 cat. I have been swapping out so many cats that I almost have a litter of kittens for sale...

seriously. it will fit, use your grey matter a little more

really? the bolts that are welded onto it aren't wide enough to fit through the holes of the CB or the DP?

I tried hammering it a bit but won't budge...

All I can think of is making the holes bigger on my CB... what exhaust are you using?

Are you sure you bought the right catback, for EVO8 or EVO9? Both 8 and 9 should work the same or should bolt up the same. The only difference between the 8 and 9 is that the 9 has the rear o2 sensor on the CAT while the 8 has the rear o2 sensor on the catback.

Do you have pic of the flange so we can see what you are talking about? you might have it backwards or something.

Yeah I will try to get a picture tonight. I'm positive I have the right catback for the IX. Its a megan CB (2 piece IX version). The 02 sensor is on the Cat and I've tried putting the Cat on every way possible but the bolts aren't wide enough apart.. The side that you can put your own bolts in fits fine, which is really strange. It's just the side that the bolts are welded on, this side won't fit into the dp flange or the CB flange....I'll take a pciture to help explain.
