anyone remove their aftermarket LICP?

After my Injen LICP blew off while going around the Nurburgring I swore then and there I would remove it when I got home. I wasted half a lap (back half of the Ring is my favorite) so I was pretty upset. Anyway I have had the Injen LICP on for about 4 months and never had a problem until then. Granted I fixed it in the parking lot and it didn't give me any trouble for the rest of the trip. Well today I removed it and replaced it with the stock LICP.

Anyone else remove aftermarket parts for the piece of mind of factory engineered original equipment?

+1 on T-bolt clamps. However you could get a different LICP that has a bracket that mounts it in place like the Nisei LICP.

I think the more logical thing to do would have been get a T-Bolt clamp and re-clamp the aftermarket unit. Whether the stock unit has a weak clamp or an aftermarket unit has a weak clamp - they're going to blow off.

You may be right. I wasnt happy with the fit of the INJEN LICP.

I have had my Nisei on for a while and no boost leaks or blowing off. Just shop around and get a good quality LICP with a support bracket (like factory) and you won't have issues.
