NO! there are too many evos on the road. everyone and their grandma has one(seriously). my evo is probably now worth less than my FD I got rid of four years ago. but i dont give a **** since im getting rod of it soon before value dips way too low.
oh, and when the x comes out the evo viii and the ix will be worth like 15k-18k average.

First of all, the value of a mint condition 1998 TT Supra with 1,000 miles is $35,800. The only reason they sell for that much and more isn't b/c of their actual value...It's b/c some dumbass movie came out and every single person and their uncle just had to have a Supra. That drove the MARKET-VALUE of the car up not the actual value of the vehicle. If that movie had a different "Hero" Car Supras would never cost that much today.
Dealers and Re-sellers all know that the Supra isn't worth that much but since the market hasn't dropped b/c people with too much money keep paying exorbent prices for them they keep selling them for as high as they can.
It's just like when the Evo first came out as well as the latest Shelby Cobra. In the begining people were willing to pay way over MSRP for the EVO but that changed in what seemed like over night...The Shelby on the other-hand has a MSRP around $50,000...but dealers jacked that up to almost double and are still getting that to this day. People with too much money schew reality for the rest of us common folk !

If parents keep buying their kids these cars the kids will keep wrecking them which will make the Evo a rare car and the supply will go down and the demand will go up.
I foresee the Evo being discontinued in about 2-3 years because the 4B11 will be a disaster, However if Mitsu puts the 4G63 back into the Evo, the Evo will live on. which will NOT make our cars appreciate.
In conclusion 4B11 Evos will make the 4G63 Evo appreciate in value but, If Mitsu puts the 4G63 back into the Evo, Our cars will not appreciate.

I just took a look at the actual info for the Supra for the first time. It has 53,000 miles on it. I had assumed (wrongly) that it was quite a bit fewer than that. So now I know that the only person who would pay $55K for it is a true fanatic.

Rx7's now sell for $9-13K average that was when they were around $30-34K new. I think that the Evo will share the same path probably $13-17K average with super mint cars selling for a bit more, which isn't too bad. People have to understand that newer cars will come out and that they will be more desired than our current cars since they will be new. Just look at the new 335i's, Skyline's,380Z,M3's coming out people will be more likely to purchase those car's instead.
Also look at the Porsche 911 Turbo. Owners paid 110-120K when they first came out. They are now selling for half of that amount. That is a 60K loss compared to our 10-15K loss.

30K isn't exactly what I'd call cheap though. I rarely see teens in one, I see them in Honda's and SRT4's mostly which is what I'd call cheap and more of a teen car. Then again the one's who end up getting them from their parents are usually the one's who crash them and drive them like they stole them. Last time I went to a meet me and 3 other guys were the youngest guys there I was 20 at the time the other guy's were 19,21 and 22. This was out of like 30 or more people. Everyone one else was around the 27-35 age range.
