Vortex Generator

Has anyone ever bought a vortex generator and the fin where the antenna is supposed to protrude from was closed? If so, what did you do to cut it open? I bought one on Ebay and its description said I was paying for exactly what was pictured. Almost all true, except when I got it the antenna part was completely covered. I was a little pissed, but its not a big deal. I e-mailed them, but I won't get a response until Monday. Any suggestions?

A large diameter drill bit or a small hole saw.

If its carbon fiber use masking tape on both sides before making the hole... it will keep it from fraying.

Yeah I should've done my homework before I bought it. It looked good in the pics, that would've been the first warning. Maybe it'll fly off on the freeway and I'll be forced to buy a new one.
