Possible G sensor read out mod

O.K. I looked this up on techinfo after reading another post about the existence of two G sensors on the Evo 8 that are used by the ABS system and here is the scoop:

There are two G sensors as mayhem stated. The output votage for each is linear and they have an output graph on techinfo. For each sensor the 0G or neutral state reading is 2.5 volts, +1.0G is 1.5 volts, +1.5G is 1.0 Volts, - 1.0G is 3.5 volts, -1.5G is 4.0 volts.

So all we need is a circuit and led that translates votage to G reading with a lookup table or something and we could have a dash readout of acceleration, breaking, and lateral G in realtime.

Any Electrical guys out there up for putting together a list of parts?? I can solder well enough to put the parts together but have no clue what parts I would need.

Technically if you can correlate the data with RPM, vehical speed and other ECU specific info, you could even calculate horsepower, and ET's

Malibu: Would you really need all that data? A GTech can do it with accelerometers alone. You only need to input vehicle weight if you're interested in getting the HP numbers.

You can get the speed by integrating the accelerometer signal, and the distance by integrating the speed.
