There are plenty of Evo 9 parts available. Check the vendor for sale forums on here.

Most parts are going to be interchangeable. Now, if you get down in to engine internals or some drivetrain components there are some differences. It's still a CT9A chassis though.

The only conflict you might run in to with basic bolt ons is the exhaust. You need a downpipe fitted specifically for the '05 - '06 because of the ACD. Also, the second O2 sensor moved on the IX.

I think some intakes fit differently on the VIII and IX because of the IC sprayer being deleted on the '05.

Another common part that will be different is cams due to the MIVEC head on the IX.

If you are considering springs be aware that the MR and GSR/RS have different struts so you need different springs for each if you aren't changing struts as well.

+1 to what he said.

Basic parts are interchangable!!

Evo 9 makes more power with basic mods due to the enginve having MIVEC. Nice pick up. Break her in slow and you'll fall in love with the easy power you can make.

Ball,
if you're talking about aftermarket parts, 90% of them are the same.
Shocks, clutch, body parts etc................the only diff is the E9 has Mivec so ecu and cams are different

Every bolt I had on my VIII fit on my IX without any issues except the licp. I had the RMR kit and there licp came with its own outlet pipe. So obviously with the bigger housing it would not fit

AMS, AEM, Injen, K&N and Bushur make intakes. (I know there's more)

I am searching around for intakes as well. I cannot decide which of the 4 brands I like the best.
