downpipe installation issue

Ok, bear with me. I am not sure what they are called, but when the downpipe was put on my car, two bars had to be removed because they would not bolt back up with the aftermarket DP. I was told longer bolts are needed and they will go back on. Anyone have any experience with this?

Alot of people stack bunch of washers until it clears the DP to make it fit.I bought one of these RMR Lower K Brace.

If stock bolt isnt long enough, after adding spacers. Then get longer bolts.
