Keep it simple
Keep it simple
It's occurred to me after all the debate about Evo VII vs Evo VIII because of AYC/ACD, etc. that there is another perspective. Think about this: from everything I've read (I get a ton of UK mags), the AYC and ACD require maintenance every 5,000 miles. So with every oil change, you are looking at a $115 service. Not good. Another reason to not worry about the AYC and ACD is that (for those long-term owners) 10 years from now, when the AYC stops working and ACD is stuck in "Snow" mode, imagine the repair costs. It's like a buddy that was quoted $10,000 to replace his quattro system in his Audi. Let that sink in. Last point: all the British mags pointed out that they tested the US-spec version first in Thailand and thought it was more entertaining WITHOUT the AYC and ACD.
Personally, I am glad that we are finally getting the cars we've been longing for (Evo, STi, etc.). If they'd only bring Skylines in at the real price (no offense to MOTO-REX), I'd be really happy. Of course, what I really wanted was an Evo VI RS...
