Weird issue with 4th gear

Between yesterday and today my evo has been giving me some issues with fourth. there is no grinding, but from time to time, I go to shift into fourth and it just kinda stops. Meaning I go to shift from 3 - 4 and it just stops, feels like a block. Then let go of the stick and do it again and it is fine. Any ideas?

Sounds like your fourth gear syncro may be going.

yeah i spoke to my dealer. They said they were ok if i had a TBE and intake filter, but that was it, unless it was done by turbotrix. They seemed pretty good about it.

i have the same prob but some days its fine and some days its horrible. my 2nd gear kind of grinds from time to time as well. i hope it can all be fixed under warranty. im gonna leave it alone till it starts getting worse... only 18,000 miles on my evo.
