I did it about 2 months ago. I took the bumper off. Getting the undertray off is a PITA with all the clips but after that the bumper comes right off. It would take you way more time to do it with the bumper on. Also trying to align the LICP and tighting the clamps would be way harder with the bumper on.

I agree... i tried to do the LICP without pulling the bumper off, and ended up cutting my hands, pulling on and off the coupling like 10 times to get it on right. By the time I pulled the bumper off, my friend showed up, and was like "that only took me five minutes to do, what the hell were you doing the whole time" while I was bounding my head against the wall.

You will save yourself alot of headaches if you take the splash guard and bummer off.

Take it off, also if you plan on installing other things leave the tray off as its a pain to get on and off. Mine has been off forever and I have had no issues.

Don't take the bumper off. There's no need. I installed Nisei that even has a holding arm without taking it off.

I have an ams LICP on my IX and did not take the bumper off, it was easy after pulling the tray, all in all maybe twenty minutes or so, I just reversed the hose clamp so I could get at it from the bottom.

I had it up on my friends lift, just took the undertray off and it was a breeze. Only slight pain in the *** was the upper bolt holding on the stock pipe.

Remove the coolant overflow bottle to get to that LICP hanger from under the hood.

Take the bumper off. Also, take it for a spin without getting on it to hard to heat up the silicone conectors. Then get back under and tighten all the clamps. Lots of people blow off the LICP after install as the silicone heats up it gets softer/ more liable to slip off.
Good luck.
