Does this sound right to yall

I have a Evo 9 with about 22,000 miles stock springs. I'm curious with my mods: bushcur intake, ams front mount, ams lower ic piping,dc downpipe, greddy exhaust w/no cat, greddy profec 2, custom street flash, gsc s1 cams on my evo 9; For the first time I went to the track this past Friday and and my first ever time was a 12.918 @ 110.06 mph, my second time was 12.895 @ 106.71 mph and my last time was 12.665 @ 108.19. Does this sound like the norm to you? Each time my et got lower but my mph also got lower. It doesn't feel like my clucth is slipping but after each run I was smelling something burnt from the engine bay. My 60 fts were 1.986, 1.930, and 1.764. I'm asking this question because I've seen on the forum that guys with similar mods are trapping between 112-118 mph and doing the 1/4 mile between 11.99 and 12.4. I've even seen on the forum with evo's with less mods doing better than me. Can somebody tell me what's up.

im just gonna say it since someone is bound to do it anyway... driver mod. best thing you can do for your car.

you could be shifting slow or you could be getting off the line slow. either way, just practice and your times should drop.

yea he's right... it's mainly about the driver... that's why some ppl build their car's up... and have other ppl drive them lol... seems silly to me but it's true...

Your 1.76 60 foot isn't bad but you have room to improve, aim for a 1.6 60 foot.
You're probably making over 300 ft lbs of torque yes? Your stock clutch may also be slipping. Can you feel it slipping high in the rev-range in 3rd and 4th gears just as you shift?

Altitude, temperature, humidity are all factors. I have seen some quick runs posted when it is cooler out (Oct - Mar). The next time I go back will probably be on a nice cool night to see what I can run. It was somewhere around 80 degrees when we ran and also humid. Fun runs though!

If I remember correctly, I think my clutch was slipping in the rev-range if that's true do you think with the after market clucth I can improve on my mph?

If you're on the stock clutch, then it's probably holding you back.

Yep, bet you gain about 5 mph on the trap.

Should be trapping at least 114-115. Work on the driving man.

Thanks Jordan and Howl, what do you think my shifting points should be at because I was shifting around 7500 rpm when I was at the track. Hopefully I'll be getting a new clutch and I'll keep ya posted

I'm not sure since I have a 6 speed and I presume you have a 5. You need to get a dyno sheet to see where you begins to drop off in power. My car loses maybe 10 whp from peak to the rev limiter so I try to ride out each gear as long as possible. Shifting to 5th = better trap, staying in 4th at my power level produces a better ET.
