Crash !!!!!!!!!
if Mitsu trys to pull anything on you other than helping u should definately get a lawyer. You also got your wife in the car as a witness so that help. My buddy had a yamaha sport bike, i cant remember what model, but when he was riding it the brake lever got stuck or something while he was going pretty fast, it caused him to lay down his bike and he got scratched up a bit, when he told the dealership what happened they said they would look at the bike, a couple days later he recieved a letter from the yamaha ( im not sure but i think it was yamaha) stating that they were very sorry and they were gonna fix everything blah blah blah and they gave him an extended warranty and some other stuff. So look into it and if they try to screw u tell them that thier car put your life your wifes and your daughters lives at risk from a bad part that was on the car. GL
i shut my car off all the time when i roll into my driveway, i can still make 90degree turn and brake so maybe theres sumthing else wrong with the car. be sure to get it checked out completely for safety.

Turbo back only voids Emissions warranty. I know they try to void the whole warranty, but they legally can't. That's where an Attorney comes in play. Besides, he just has to put the stock one on before he takes it in.
That is some bad **** to happen at 30mph going around a corner. Glad the fam is all right. I would personally talk to an Attorney before taking it in as well as getting some pictures of the damage and broken belt. You might just have a valid lawsuit if you can prove that it was a faulty belt or install from Mitsu.
i'm not doubting you, but it seems odd. the belt snapped during a "sweeping" turn @ 30? you still have plenty of residual vacuum for the brakes for normal stoppage. if you were driving hard and the belt snapped, yeah, i could see how you could lose it hitting the brakes. need more info. and no, belt is not an emmisions item. period. glad everyone is okay.
go through insurance the dealer isnt paying for all the damage, if the insurance company thinks they can get money out of the dealer they will sue them. otherwise u will drive a broken ****ttbox till the court day comes.
anyway glad the OP and his family are okay. i would raise some serious hell. You had your kids in your car, it could have turned out worse.
his warranty is not voided just because of a turbo-back...
the installed after market part(s) have to be proven to have caused the problem....
theres no way a tbe will cause a serpentine belt to break.....get a lawyer and dont even worry about putting on your stock exhaust

so i was driving with my family to a friends house and was making a sweeping left hand corner at about 30mph when my serpentine belt broke (keep in mind there is only 10,000 miles on the car) power steering went out and then my acd seemed to put me into neutral then i went off the road on to a dirt well muddy embankment wich then caused a good bit of damage to my front lip ripped all the plastics off the bottom and bent my oil cooler and intercooler .....so is this belt under warr. this should not have happened at such low milage car is 6 months old ....also does this belt run any of my emisions setup because if it does it is def under warr according to mitsu website any and all feed back would be great thank you
yea dude it was crazy i had no controll of the vehicle because it would not let me, and i forgot to add that after my cay went into neutrall (while it was in gear mind you) it shut off all this happened pretty slow cause i was goin slow my wife was in the car along with my 2 yr old daughter and my brand new baby girl....man i was layin on the brakes and every thing but with no vacum assist there those didnt work either

The dealership will tell you these things:
Steering still works even if the belt is removed from the PS pump. PS is a convenience accessory. It makes it easier to turn in very slow speed (parking lot) situations. At 30 mph, there will be hardly any difference between having the PS and not having the PS. You stated you were already IN the corner (turning) so there would be no reason to have to turn more and you would not have noticed any difference.
The ACD has NO EFFECT what so ever on the transmission. It can NOT put your car in neutral or even make it seem that it is in neutral. All it does is change how the LSD locks in the transfer case.
Vacuum is stored in the brake booster. Even with the car turned off, there is enough stored to have vacuum assist at least two times when applying the brakes. After that, you would still have brakes but they would require a lot more pedal pressure to stop.
I would suggest that you leave it up to the dealership to determine what caused the car to leave the road. Tell them what the car did and and not what you think caused it.
Something may have happened to your car prior to leaving the road but your train of events does not add up to a person who knows how a car works and reacts
I am not saying you are not telling the truth about what happened.... just letting you know that your interpretation of what caused the crash could not happen as you stated. If you were to tell this story to the dealership, they will look at you funny... probably have a laugh behind your back.... and then blame the accident on bad driving.

OP make sure you put your stock TBE on.
The dealer will be looking for the smallest reason to void your warranty especially on a claim like yours.
If fact, it's not even good you posted on here that you have a TBE in the first place.
