My BOV?

i just installed a new turbo manifold for my car and it runs fine.. in fact it feels a little faster but my blow off valve is somewhat quieter.. i know i dont have a boost leak b/c i already ran a test on it but it is kind of weird why it would do that... any suggestions?? i have a SSQV...

I am confused. Why would you go with a SSQV when you have a metal good BOV? can I have your stock BOV?

Why it's quieter? WHo knows...running better? Isnt' that a good thing? Would prefer PSSSSSHTT super load or psssssht w/ more HP?

It's your first post, and it's asking about NOISE from your POS BOV, so what do you expect? THis stuff is annoying and clutters the forum. Keep it in the newbie forum. That's where the rules tell you to post when you're a newbie with a newbie question. Plus, there isn't even a question. You just think your POS BOV is not as loud. Big deal.

LOL...

I want my question answered. Why did you go with the SSQV over the stock unit?

^^ You know why everyone knows why. It sounds cool and people are not educated on what the VTA is doing to their MAF equipped car

Maybe its because you have a different manifold.I was using the SSQV for a bit but it just wasn't working for me.I went back to stock and the car does seem to run better now and more consistent on the boost.Just go with what you like for your car.I know HKS sells a replacement insert for the SSQV and it creats a louder sound according to HKS.You can always recirculate the SSQV and it should help your car a bit.
