just got my fujitsubo down pipe
You don't need to wrap the downpipe. Most do it because some downpipes are located really close to the oil pan or other components that they want to insulate from the heat. FWIW I don't have mine wrapped.
ok..because some said the stainless steel down pipe don't get that hot, and some said it will heat up the oil pan. so don't really know which one is right and which one is wrong.
