I took mine off because i didn't want to modify it to fit the aftermarket FMIC... There is no driveability issues what so ever with it off...

It makes life so much easier too... especially when that LICP comes off of the intercooler!

Are the LICP that easy to blow off? Is there a reason why the stock ones doesn't blow off as often?

If you do any road course work, you should keep it on as it aids cooling.

I had mine off until I went over some gravel and caused some drivability issues for a few days, after that I put it back on but instead of putting all the clips on I only put several so that I can pull it off faster, about 3 clips to the lip instead of 100, plus everything underneath was getting too dirty

i took mine off due to a LICP constantly popping off and huge I/C,but i heard it directs air and is better for areo dynamics at high speeds........im sure Mitsu put it on there for a reason

Been off since the first time I messed with it. I dont think any small aerodynamic benefits are great enough to warrant the PITA it is to remove.

dont listen to those people who has their undertray off, it's design for purpose. to cool caliper and transmission. also it creates drag on high speed, don't tell me u never take ur evo more than 100mph. i remember one time i was doing 120mph+ the car just can't keep on going like it normally does. buy a aftermarket one if u find it annoying to take off

the purpose of undertray is for the air to travel thru as smooth as possible just like exotic cars their bottom are all flat and smooth. if u look at the design of undertray u can see the cooling channel for caliper and tranny.

I have the same expression on my face after reading this thread as I do when I meet people who still don't believe that evolution is a fact.

Got the t-bolts already...so far so good...just want easy access. Will look at the carbing or beatrush.
