So I just bought an eBay Exhaust...
Thats what im doing right now. Im wanting 11s for under $1,000 & all I need now is a EBC and a alchy kit. Im going to try to skip cams, and im still very indecisive about getting a ebay Intercooler... the AMS copy. Seeing the test results from one of the vendors, I believe Buschur has me really wondering. Although there test mule was a 600+whp car, the results arent going to as drastic as a 300-375whp evo.
Hell yeah man go for it. Show these guys that you don't have to treat it like a ferrari its just a upgrade from a DSM. In a few years evos will be known for their crappy transmissions(if their not alreay, I've seen the recals) and reliablity issues just give it a few more years.
I've had the ebay system on mine for a couple of months and still love it. I did have to hammer it some so that it would clear the ACD, but other than that I've had no probs with it.
I'm totally with you guys. I bought an eBay exhaust system for my Mercedes SL 65AMG. It sounds totally awesome and I can feel the extra power! It was only $300.00 shipped for the whole system!
I offered $210 on this, + $50 shipping = $260.

You only have to bang the downpipe a little bit if you have ACD. This will fit flawlessly, no hammering, no altering at all with all 2003 EVOs, because we dont have ACD. And also a fyi, this exhaust will clear both cross members under the car, as some exhausts dont. again.

got mines for 228 shipped lol...the only thing about ebay exhaust is the fit..and it did not fit correctly...the secondary o2 sensor was hitting the chassis...so i had to disconnect it
so let's recap:
a) have to bang it with a hammer to make it fit,
b) have to run without a secondary O2,
c) leaks in many cases

its made for 8 with no acd. its got flawless fit. O2 sensor hitting bot of car is just normal for other testtubes too(i had turbo xs and also touched) now running DC downpipe/cat delete and still hits bottom of my car.(getting angled fouler soon)
Ebay o2 housing must be crap too. Then why is buscher using them?(i read somewhere that they recoat and sell same o2 housing)

You can get really nice stuff from ebay for half price. Bought imac 50% off retail(brand new) on ebay last year. It must be crap from ebay too.
