5th gear problems w/ a/c on?

Hello all,

I starting having problem while doing 60+ mph in 5th. Once I get to where the boost kicks in, 2500rpm or more, if I am not giving it more than a little gas it seems like it fuel cuts? I found that this while running the A/C, if I turned the A/C off, it didn't seem to do it. All I can figure is that with the little amount of gas going through and the A/C running it was killing itself? It won't do it in any other gear though. I thought it might be the fuel pump or something too? I previously had some cylinder misfires too, but that was while driving from 6,000 feet to 600 feet in elevation, so I didn't think that was it.

Anyone have a clue? I am thinking about chaning spark plugs too?

Thanks!

how much boost are you running??? With the ac on it will cause more of a "load" on the motor, which could cause more boost. With more boost on a stock fuel pump could cause it to fail. May need to change it.

It is stock besides the K&N replacement filter... no boost controlller.

Ya I would check the fuel pump. They do tend to run to hot then stop working.

Ive heard that you also lose roughly 10% of your power when the A/C is on.
