ses light on from high flow cat

ses light on from high flow cat

my ses light is on and has been on sense i put my high flow cat on from RnR. i had it checked out and its from the cat. what do i need to do to get that fixed? should a high flow cat even throw a code?

You should be able to go to autozone or kragen and rent a OB2 reader or whatever its called and reset it yourself.I think its like a $175 deposit which you get back.Im runnin the Perrin HFC with spark plug defoulers and I have had 0 problems.Give some of those a shot after you get the check engine light fixed.

did you reset the ecu ? .. give it a try ...
disconnect the negative from the battery leave it for few minutes and put it back on .. then check it out

yeah i reset the ecu several times but it always comes back on after about i drive it about 20 or 30 miles. i will try to find one of those spark plug defoulers. thanks. if i cant find them here then i will hit you up about the one that you have.

i get it too, i also have a HFC from RNR. it's worse when it's cold out, in the summer sometimes it goes a while before throwing it. my solution was to pick up one of these for $50 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...553681-0464412

This will take about 5 minutes to complete. $5 and no more CEL...has worked for a couple of months with my BR HFC.

went and bought a set of spark plug foulers. one of them out and put it on and works just fine, thanks fro the help guys
