here's what my bov looks like now... is this right?

 

Hard for me to tell from your picture, the end of the valve with the nipple on it should face up towards the hood. There is only one way to hook it up after that.

On second glance it doesn't look wrong to me. The other end should go into the boost tube if so you are ok AFAIK.

 

Replace your vacuum hose. You have to much of a crimp on there.

 

the pipe connected to the nipple is all twist up... is that right?

The hose should not be twisted. Take it loose and route it so it has as few bends in it as possible. Hope this helps.

Looks upside down to me. those pics are confusing.
I think You need to take it off completely and rotate it.
ie: switch ends.
The round part with the numbers should face forward towards the radiator , -
not UP towards the radiator hose.

 

yeah its in the upright position, needs to go in the other way

 

your bov is in backwards
