I have a 05 evo and i hear this weird howling noise from the front driver side wheel base. i took it to the dealer and they said it was problem with a transfer case and driveshaft. The dealer said they would fix it under warrenty . Now the question is, if i have a bad transfer case and bad driveshaft is it safe to ride around in it? Wouldn't things start to wear and tear and cause more problems? Cuz the dealer said there shouldn't be any problems and gave me the car back and said they call me when the parts arrive.. and it has been a month since this problem and still no phone call. I call everyday to check if the parts are in and they say it's on back order. And i also think the noise is getting worse everyday. So i guess the question is ... is it safe to ride it like this? I'm sry i couldn't explain the problem more exact but thats what they told me "driveshaft and transfer case problem."

 

If its getting worse ever day I wouldnt drive it because I wouldnt wont to get stuck but some people will drive it to it breaks bring it back to the dealer and say u said nothing will happen lol
