Hm, sounds like a good idea. The thought never occured to me to cut open the top of the spacer. I actually did run into the problem of the knob sitting too low because what I tried doing was putting BOTH spacers in there, just to add "height" to the knob, but then it ended up sitting so low that I couldn't get to the allen screws and the stock boot only goes so low... I guess I'll cut out the top of it and see how low I can get it. Thanks!
