Wheel "clunk?"

Driving into work today, when I was on a left curve (weight on the right wheels), the right wheel made a clunk noise, which I heard and felt. I thought it was maybe just a rock, but the clunk kept happening every time that wheel would go over a bump.

Any ideas? My plan is to go home (I live very close...I can drive slow the whole way), take off the wheel, check all the bolts on the caliper and steering knuckle, then put the wheel back on.

Almost sounds like a lower control arm.. It will clunk like that.

Like, the control arm is loose? Or it's just one of those normal Evo noises?

it could very well be spring binding.

check to make sure the top hat is spinning freely, and the spring perch is aligned correctly while you are under there.
