Does anyone else's GReddy Ti look like it lost it's blue titanium on the rolled tip? I saw an evo at the shootout yesterday with this exhaust, and the titanium color was still there.

Anyway to get it back or that's how it's going to be?

Did I say it was a big deal? I'm not losing power over it, I just asked a question to see if there's a way to bring it back.

Everyone doesn't like greddy that's why there are more then 1 company on the market. What does your post have to do with this thread?

 

you can always flame burn it yourself with a welding tourch.

 

I would assume that the blue on the exhaust is a coating and not a true blue from heat. you could try spraying it with a light coat of blue Metalcast, or just do it for real with a torch

 

That won't bend it or anything? Like melt it?

Obviously if you keep the flame on there for a long period of time... haha

 

No, a tourch will not bend/melt the tip if the temp is low enough and you keep moving. However if I am right about the existing blue being fake then the tourch may burn that off. There is only one way to find out

 

I'd say leave it alone unless you really did know how to recreate the blue tip on the titatium; it's not worth cosmetically damaging that expensive exhaust.

 

Really to me, it just looks like it just needs to cleaned up a bit. If your not losing power and anything don't worry about it.

 

That's funny, because I just used polished the tip of it because I just drove to nj from long island yesterday to take the picture.

I don't see the big deal of asking this question. It's like buying an ARC shift knob. You don't gain any power from it, and if the TI look of the shift knob went away, you'd wonder why and see if there was anything to do to bring it back.

I'm a professional detailer and I like to keep everything clean, and since you can see the exhaust this is why I asked this. I've tried different products on it, and you can see some of the blue on the left side.

 

i havent seen many of the greddy ti's but most of the ones ive seen look very similar to yours. i havent seen any that are as "ti" as the hks or megan

 

possible solution or a stupid one:
Try calling Greddy and ask/tell them about it, it ouldn't hurt. They might know how to get the blue back, just a thought

 

did u buy it used?

if u did, the previous owner probably didn't take care of the tip as far as cleaning.
