^^^yeah but how long is ur term on that silverado..im sure its not 72 months like your evo

anyways, compare the economy from 2yrs back to now..theres your answer.
My first auto loan when i was 18 was at a 11.74% rate thru my CU..although my credit has gotten better, the rates have barely gotten any better on my side. My evo has got me at 8.xx (used) 0 down

i fail to believe this if youre implying this to your evo..or any car for that matter..With no credit history, i doubt a bank would give you anything near what an evo is worth, let alone a 6.9% int rate. According to your profile, youre 24..there was no evo back in 2001 so explain becuz i would like to tell my 18yr old sister on how she can get a 6.9int rate for a vehicle

Actually, it is 72 months for the Silverado also. That is the only reason I bought it. I really wanted a Ford Superduty, but Ford was only doing the 0% thing for 60 months so I went across the street to the Chevy dealer and picked up a 2500hd.

Unfortunately, for us, the import companies don't seem to be hurting to bad so they really don't have to do alot of incentives to sell their cars. The domestic manufacturers can barely give their crap away so it is quite a bit easier to get rebates, incentives, low interest loans, etc..

I will be picking up an EVO X next year. I really hope I can get a decent rate again.

Interest rates are super high right now compared to two yrs ago. I was looking into purchasing a brand new toyota camry for the wife a couple days ago and the best my credit union could do was 7.5%. Our credit is not perfect, but close to it and thats the lowest they would offer. Was very disappointed w/ the rate quoted compared to the 0% apr I got on the evo.

Some people got some good rates!! With a high 700 score our credit union could only muster us up a 6.0%

I have a very good credit score and the best I could find is 6% on a new car. Worse for a used car. And much worse for a used private party sale.

I like being married to a loan officer. We get perks like 1% interest rate about three years ago and 2% last year. We also have a credit score over 700 which helps anyone get lower rates.
