?'s about buying bov from friend

My friends selling me a evo IX bov, i have a eight and reading from the forums everyone says that I should replace mine with a IX, hold more boost ect... other then purchasing other bov's.

Should I buy it? or should i go with another bov?

and how much would you purchase it for max? its 35 dollars good deal?

the IX bov is definately worth the $35 for a simple upgrade.. but it depends on what year VIII you have i think, some have the crappy plastic bov..03-04 i think, but the 05 mr have the metal bov which will hold boost better...so in short, buy it

i swapped out my 04 plastic for the mr bov, much better when it comes to holding boost. if you do plan to hit higher boost, you might still wanna look into an aftermarket.

No, all 03-05s had the plastic BOV. 05 MRs were no different - only IXs got the metal BOV in the US.
