Possible Scammer?

So I have been looking for a clutch because mine has been going out. This guy messages me and below is our conversation. LMK what you think. Maybe a coincidence, but maybe not.

He just joined Evom.net btw on August 3rd. He explains he just sold his EVO though and bought a ZO6. Why sign up if you just sold your car?

He says he has a Exedy Twin Carbon clutch for $1100 shipped, BRAND NEW IN THE BOX. What a hell of a price,.. only to good to be true.

I checked his paypal, and is un-verified 2 times.

Here is our PMs followed by the last MSG I sent him.

Btw, I thought you said you didnt have any pix. It shows picture #1 was taken May 1st, 2007 with a Canon Rebel, and picture #2 you sent me, was taken August 9th, of 2006 with a Sony DSC-P43 digital camera.

Two different accounts, so I tried to recreate a photobucket search. Using just 'Exedy Twin' just so happens to bring up both seperate albums, with the exact 2 images you gave me.

This whole situation does not add up. Please explain.

Look for another clutch. The fact that his pics were taken with diff cameras a year apart is enough for me to know those werent his. Have him take a pic with his screen name and yours on a postcard sitting on the clutch.

No one would take that much of a hit on that clutch. If your not sure or feel uneasy about the situation I would probably not buy from that individual. He could of easily sold it on ebay or through someone he knows.

Yeah, and the pictures are on 2 different albums. One album is actually a vendor. All of his pictures are manufactuer shots for the most part. But for a BNIB Exedy Twin Carbon for $1100 shipped?... ehhh... dont think so. HUGE hit.

you can clearly tell they are two different clutches...one is pristine and the other has some sort of jizz stain on it.

The price really isnt that bad...a few local members were selling it for just a hair over what he asked.

Well the bottom clutch has "Daikin Clutch" on it, and the top doesnt. I mean, damn if your going to scam someone, atleast make the product pictures look the same.

If my memory serves me correctly, Exedy and diaken are the same company....Daiken is a subsidiary of Exedy that makes a lot of OEM clutches.
