Plus one dude.
Seriously, my current GF is like, borderline out of my league (think a slightly detuned Maggie Q) and I mean, sh*... I got like, some charm and ****, and did a couple things to win her over.. but early on, the Evo definitely did a lot of the work. Thank you, wastegate and bov.

Unfortunately, around here, it's more like, when the blow off valve pops, the panties go up.
1) I like how the body is designed from the factory.(I didn't buy it with any intentions of adding a body kit)
2) It's rare where I live (I've only seen two 8s)
3) It's impossible to provoke me into streetrace because I have nothing to prove... I drive an Evo. My friend with his 91 maxima will race anything that revs at him because he thinks he's a sleeper.
4) It's fun to drive and accellerate WOT when getting on the highway
5) It's fun to take turns at such high speeds that you lose those gawkers who have been following you to look at your EVo.
6) I got a rare TB IX which was only sold for 1 yr in the US
7) The steering response makes the car feel very controllable in high speed situations
8) The simple interior which can easily be upgraded to look very nice.
9) It can look like a plain sedan (wingless) or like a racecar (winged)
10) Driving in the snow!
What I don't like.... attention from the cops on my winged days.
I have always wondered this.... Are you more likely to get a ticket for loud exhaust when you have your spoiler on or not?
Maybe cops see an Evo with the big wing and they expect it to be loud because it's built aggressively, so they don't think it's out of the ordinary... But when your wingless, the cops might think that you have a lancer with a loud aftermarket fart-can.... looks out of place and could possibly draw more attention.

Drat, I wished that worked around where I live. When I used to have a DSM six years ago, I used to visit a DSM forum. In the forum the ol' addage was, "When the blow off valve pops, the panties drop."
Unfortunately, around here, it's more like, when the blow off valve pops, the panties go up.

I take it you've got mainly white girls around there? You'd be better off with a SC'd Camaro with a Borla exhaust...

The key to being low-key, as it were, is probably to be wingless and have a stealth-sounding exhaust. What are you looking at me for, officer? It's just a family sedan..

1. Passing *everyone* on these L.A. on ramps that always seem to go from two lanes to one to get on the FWY.
2. That gut-wrenching boost feeling that makes your stomach scream "too faaaaaaaaaast!"
3. Easily ignoring anyone driving less than a GT3 if they want to race.
4. - 10. The feeling every time I go into the garage and see an EVO sitting there. It makes it worth getting up in the mornings.

Very true. The highlight of my day before was driving to work and driving home. Even if I wasn't in boost or going through freeway onramps in 3rd gear, I love my car.
Am I the only one that really likes the endless number of speeds for our windshield wipers? In my DSM the slowest speed is too fast for any semi-light rain so I have to keep turning them on and off. On ramps also rock, I always slow considerably if there is someone in front of me just so I can get on it through the ramp and getting on the highway.
