Great project thread so far! I dig that you're doing a longer primary header with a decent looking merge collector. I might have missed it, but are you supporting the turbo with any extra bracing? Keep up the good work!

Hey guys! Sorry, it has been quite a while since my last post regarding my build. During that time the new intake manifold has been coming together quite nicely. I have been talking with Paul to have him test it with the other manifolds that he is testing. On the other hand, chromoly has been back ordered at the chassis shop that we deal with so my roll cage has not been worked on. We decided to make a custom back head hoop that connects to the main hoop to strengthen the cage even more.

Then while bolting the shifter linkage bracket to the transmission we noticed that the shift rod that goes into the transmission may be bent So we have to get on the phone with Shep to see whats going on with that. We Finally figured out the 4 different spark plugs that we are going to use during tuning. We have a different theory about the EVOs ignition performance with high boost/high horsepower applications. Other than that the engine is fully assembled waiting to go back in. Pics will come soon! Stay tuned.

Blake.

thie build needs to be moving further then this by now I know its not a priority but when the pics get here I will be happy, thanks for so far!

I need a search button that does not suck so that I can find builds on this site! jeese the search button can not string words together it is horrible. I type engine build and get 10,000 responses for the word engine and 10,000 for the word build its pathetic. Please let me know I am a compete moron and teach me how to search in a better way... please!

As I am sure that everyone knows this type of build takes quite a bit of cash, and with my age, that kind of money doesn't come easy. Although it is a top priority to finish this build, it is also a priority to be able to pay rent, and work. In order to take on this project I have to work 50-60 hrs a week, multiple jobs, moving into a new house, etc; also takes time and money.

As for the build: Chris @ C&C Performance is wrapping up the intake manifold for Paul N. to be tested with the other manifolds. To compete in the NOPI/NDRA Class that I "should" be in in order to be competitive, I either have to send out my turbo and have it fit to a 70mm inlet or get a new turbo to use for NDRA races. The expected finishing of this build is around April (my birthday). Will post up pictures on Monday.

Please check out the new website I made for information regarding my build, me, and the car. http://northeastevo.com . Donations always welcome, and thanks to the many people that have donated already!
