I've got a friend with a 35R AMS kit on his EVO 9 GSR, still running the factory ECU. The ECU has hit it's limit at 430 wheel hp on a Mustang Dyno, and has potential to make a lot more power once his EMS comes in.

You can do a lot with the factory ECU, but it does have limitations. It will support a 35R and it's been proven. But, at that point you might be able to make more power with a stand alone.

Yes, that's the point I was trying to make. The .50 trim is a great set up as well if you want more street-able power, but you could potentially have more driveability day to day with a better form of fuel management.

So, 50 trim with Apexi AVCR or AFC?
