i did a track event on a 110-115deg day @ willow springs & my tip turned crazy blue. i imagine you could probably get a similar effect by using a plumbers torch though

done on the track & dyno, not with a torch

when new there was only the small ring of color right on the edge of the tip. it looks a lil diffrent now

also, there is more blue on top than bottom, (prob due to the bumper holding in some heat) but i wasnt able to get any good pics of the top cause im using my phone camera & the lighting was messing W it

It can be done with a torch. But your normal house hold propane torch will not get it hot enough. You'll need a cutting torch with a rose bud on the end inorder to heat it up quickly then let it cool. needs to reach about 4-500 degrees.
