upgrading the turbo? I know i need camshafts and other engine mods, but i'm not sure about the turbo.

 

With the 9 turbo, yes

oh yea, and without meth. you can see 400 with meth on the stock 8 or 9.

 

only with some sort of combo of meth/alky/race gas/nitrous

 

I made 358 on the stock 8 turbo with just pump. Had cams, 2.3, 255, UICP, MBC and TBE. A VSR and FMIC and you could probably see 400hp on a Dynojet.

 

with bigger turbo it will be much easier to do...

 

with the 8 turbo 10.5 hotside you can get over 400 whp on a dynojet by using an AEM EMS, race gas and or meth injection and all major bolt ons. I made 371 on pump and with race I will most definatly be over 400 whp.

 

I made 414whp with meth on my Evo IX. It takes a lot of boost to do so (about 30). I've lowered my boost to (26-27) for daily driving.

 

I have a 9 and Im running stock turbo, stock injectors, meth and cosworth cams and Im puttting down 400AWHP and 400AWTQ. Ivey tuned.

 

Hm, im also thinking about upgrading to a 9 turbo. My goal is 400whp.

I guess the question is this, is 30psi on the 9 turbo on meth risky for daily driving? I thought it would be at those boost levels. How much meth is needed, 1000cc? What size nozzle would I use?
