Alright, i first got my car and wanted to mod so i got the infamous intake and bov a year ago, well the bov was a greddy rs. I just took it off and put the stock IX valve on and now the turbo is loud like a whistle. I have a ams tbe,aem intake, i have the hallman pro rx mbc, but not installed, was waiting til i tune to put it on. Is the loud turbo spiking, or do you guys think it was a boost leak and the turbo wasnt working to its full potential with the greddy on.

Its your intake. It makes the turbo loud as hell

 

well with the greddy, it made a psssshhhhh sound, now its a loud whistle

 

a whistle usually is a leak. Its odd that you can hear inside the car when running. It must be a huge leak

 

mine has a loud whistle too its just the intake. i have the injen with the stock ix bov

 

i have a greddy bov and mine does a little whistle

 

Did you also reflash your ECU?
