My red rs,

your car is not running but you have 40psi of oil pressure and are pulling some vacuum. Is that right?

My boost gauge always read 4" of vacuum with the car not running

Yeah.... what's your point? If this means that these gauges are crap say so and why.

I always have residual oil pressure showing just after I shut off the car, usually its higher. In this case the car was off for a while since the oil temp gauge was near zero. I will have to pay closer attention to the gauges to let you know how long the pressure remains etc.

As for the boost gauge. I've seen many others (from different mfgrs) read the same when they were off.

Like I said earlier... if this means that these gauges are crap say so and why.

I have a boost guage from prosport and they are a good brand, they are pretty accurate (mine became off by about 1 psi) but other than that, they work great.

I have the boost gauge. Its a bit hard to read during the day, but it gives an accurate reading, matches the stock gauges, and the price was right. I say go for it.
