In Japan, buying Evo when I get back to states. What to get here?
I am in the Military stationed in Japan and I will be going back to the states soon, I know everyone is going to say just to buy an Evo here and take it back, if it was that easy I would, plus I don't really want to drive a right hand drive, I've been doing it for 5 years, got old. I can get pretty much anything here for any car, I've got a few sets of Recaro's, a set of work wheels, a set of Spoon wheels, and tone of other stuff, I was looking at starting with the JDM tail lights, what else would be good to get from here. Thanks fella's, and chica's!
Damn seems like everyone in the USAF is getting an evo. I got mine then I started seeing more of em on base. I know of 5 Evo on McGuire AFB including mine. Dude get a JDM evo then you get the AYC.

it will fit perfectly, the only problem is that you will have to remove, modify or replace the usdm crash bar with a different one. also some aftermarket exhausts may stick out a little bit. Oh and also i'm going to have to agree that its a good idea not to buy one in japan. You already said youre not interested in the rhd aspect, shipping it here will definitely be a hassle, it will take time, and i'm assuming a decent amount of money. not to mention the hassle to get the car legalized, tagged, and insured, ugh.

I agree with getting one over there. By the time you get done with all the fees and other associated cost, you probably could've got 2 EVOs here. My friend came back from Japan with 2 skylines a few years back. He went through a lot of crap to get the car to Florida. Pretty much your car gets dismantle and once you have it state sides it gets put back together to register it as a kit car.
