thye tried explaining how anti lag works on topgear.... and even they couldnt do it! i want a real break down of how it works.
anyway, im sure in the video, call it an anti lag, or a two step, its like a lot of things on performance cars, if you always use it, im sure its damaging, but using it for its intended purpose should hurt much. if its used properly, arent you only supposed to be on a two step a few second to built boost and then your gone anyway?

if the car has a stock ecu it DOES NOT HAVE A GENIUNE 2 STEP BY ANY MEANS!! A genuine 2 step cycles between 2 differernt rpms. That was a stationary rev limit. This has been discussed and debated many times by warr and I. It is sick and does sound great but your stock ecu doen not appreciate it at all nor does your 02 sensors.
FYI: that's Anti-lag using the MoTeC M800 ecu, launching at around 3,000rpm = it's not the standard 2-step that's in your stock ecu. That shop car has been converted to a TA car and represented Mynes at the 2007 Tuner Shootout about two weeks ago.
That video on the dyno is pretty old - say about 7 months or so

I miss shooting fireballs. It really was great for keeping people off your a$$. As far as anti-lag goes someone gave a general description above. It dumps large about of fuel and air into the combustion chambers in between shifts to keep the turbo spooled, so when you shift it ignites it giving off the flame. Not good though cause like mentioned above it will melt your turbo and lots of other stuff under the hood

cheers.
The believe settings for it are in our ECU's however we dont have the proper equipment under the hood. Search around the Exhaust Manifold will have loopback ports so to speak

yep, anti-lag can "kill" some parts if it's not tuned correctly. Here's a video of the same car that competed in the 2007 Tuner Shootout. We took 2nd place in the Modified class
