Clutch recomendation

I'm considering an ACT with a street disk for daily driving. I just want to see if anyone that has this set up can give me some feedback.

I really really want the exedy twin disk but its not within my budget right now. I had the act in my eclipse gsx and it was great, but I'm not too sure how it will be in an Evo.

I'll be making around 350WHP until next summer and will need a clutch that can stand up to that hopefully the street disk is enough since it will be daily driven. I only go to the track every once in a while and I don't race it too often.

It seems like the ACT will be perfect for you. I got mine its sitting in my room. I am getting it installed on Tuesday. I'll let you know how it feels after the install.

After doing research its seems to be the strongest clutch with stock feel.

Getting my clutch replaced Wed. at Vivid and they recommend Clutch masters stage 3 over ACT (I was going to go with ACT also)because they have had customers F up their throw out bearing with the ACT.He said they see little problems with the clutch master. But that is just one mans opinion(although Vivid has a good reputation in the Valley.

I rarely hear about Evo owners using Clutch Master clutches. Its usually Exedy or ACT.

Does anyone know if the Exedy Twin is ridiculously stiff? I ask, because he mentioned that his Evo is also his DD. Before I purchased my Evo 9, I had an EK9 with a Spoon Sports street clutch on it and after about a month, I wanted drive the car into a wash and amputate my left calf. Then again, I commute from Northridge to Los Angeles back n' forth from home to work. Our traffic is stupid bumper-to-bumper.

I have torn my Medial Miniscus in my left leg - and therefore have a hell of a time driving a stiffer clutch. Stock clutch is OK though.

So I've been recommended to the Exedy Twin, for a car that can make ~450-500 - which is just out of my goal's range (400's/11's). I havn't really looked at the other clutches, but I think I might have to shop around alittle more to see if I cannot find a slightly cheaper clutch with the same pressure - because the 1,500 price tag on the Twin is albit steep for the budget.

the exedy twin is a GREAT clutch but out of my budget. I'm making around 320ish whp and just installed an ACT HD and it's been doing well for me so far. I only have about 550 miles on it so i haven't really gotten on it. well...i did run a s/c 350 from a 2nd gear roll to the top of 4th and it held up beautifully! haha I'd recommend the ACT. G/L
