I don't want to mess with the evo until I know I am going in the right direction.
I have an e-01, e-manage is sale pending to an srt guy (I bought the combo when I had the srt ready for big turbo)
Just for the winter so the car can make me somewhat satisfied, can I just put the e-01 in and raise it a few lbs? or should I sell it and get cams...
I was tutored a bit on the e-01 a week ago, omg it's awsome if you got it running correctly! But cams? don't know which is more beneficial on evo's.
I CAN'T do exhaust... i can't do anything that is going to get me pulled over, not until march which makes no difference cause there's no racing in mass from the end of this month till maybe april, everything is just about finished.
so basically, Can I run JUST the e-01 with no other mods, turning the boost up a bit? Or should I just sell it an do cams?... keep in mind my car will have only this one power mod until march....

without having any experience with e-01 (not even sure what that is to be honest) i can tell you however that your exhuast will not get you pulled over in mass as long as you dont get something stupid loud. ive had exhaust on all my cars. my father has straight pipes on his range rover, and i have many friends with all kinds of exhaust setups on all makes and models. you have nothign to worry

If you want a lot of power at very little cost with no change in sound or looks, then just get a flash - it's ridiculously simple. Combined with an MBC, it's even better...
Yea I think that might be a good route just to get some power flowing on this thing until I get serious about it. I already have the e-01 so why make it harder on myself you know?
So fuel pump and flash... I know stock injectors are ok for a few lbs of added pressure so I don't need to worry about that now..

I was thinking just doing MBC, i mean i have 2 of em laying around lol but I kinda liked how the e-01 operated.
i spoke with a guy who has just a flash on his evo at the scca solo nationals in devens and he said he loved it.. the car just woke right up.
No, there's nothing special about the 03 cams. Opening the head to install $500 cams with no tuning and no other mods is senseless. You can spend half that to make twice as much power with an MBC and a flash.

With my srt, you could jsut mod it and whatever its gonna move. Evo's being more sophisticated, I always said I'd mod it all at once so I would only need it tuned once
wow I feel stupid cause I was JUST talking about that the other day with a friend of mine.EBC or one of my MBC's with a flash... might as well toss fuel mods though if im gonna do a dif turbo anyways... kinda wanna do a 9 turbo, I watched Bishops car run with the stock 9 turbo on his 8 rs, he did pretty damn good
