hi, i own a new evo ix with light mods and when i shift to 3rd or even downshift it grinds it is stock clutch. i know it is the synchro even by researching bout it, so i took it to the dealership and they told me it is the "pressure plate" iam like WTF can anyone help me out?!!

 

Syncro is shot man. Have Shep or TRE rebuild it for you cost you about 1200 or so

 

Have you adjusted the clutch pedal at all? My 8 liked to stick in between gears, especially after you drove it for a little bit...a pedal adjustment took care of that issue. If the clutch doesn't disengage all the way it probably will grind.

 

the dealership said get a clutch aftermarket or not since anyways i need a clutch and if it still grinds, they will fix it, they told me they checked the synchro and it looks fine but the pressure plate doesnt.
