High Oil Pressure, Help!!!

Driving home today my oil pressure guage pegged and stayed. It did this while on part throttle 5th gear 65 mph. Deceleration psi is normal, idle is normal, 1st through third and most of fourth for the most part normal (fluctuating 80, 65,100 psi)

Under load it's pegged ??? Temp here was about 76*. Oil changed in last 500 miles M1 10/30. Oil level is Dead Niz in the top notch on the dipstick. Dipstick did not pop out, and no leaks. Megan Racing Guages. No oil light. (yet, KOW)

Searched all threads keyword Oil Pressure.

My thoughts: Backed up behind the oil-cooler check valve, Bad Guage, Bad ground on the guage???

No previous Problems with the guage. No rough driving.

Please Help.

Yeah, this sounds like something went wonky in the sending unit to me as well. I'd start there.

Is there a visual que that the sending unit is bad?

Should I trust it being the sending unit and continue to drive the car?

Is there another possability for High Oil Pressure? Not associated w/ the guage.

Got me a slew of defi's, Not installed due to lack of (ironically) the oil pressure sender/sensor.

The Megans were in the car at the time of purchase. Depheyes are out of my previous Lution. Had to leave the sender in the oil filter block for the sake of draining oil on the shop floor.
