I taught my wife how to drive manual in my Evo. It's the same concept has driving any other manual automobile. I personally learned how to drive stick on a deuce and a half many moons ago while stationed in Germany.

I daily drive my evo. Stop and Go traffic sucks. Just gets annoying going from first to second and back to first over and over again.

As long as you don't have lots of stop and go traffic or lots of starting on hills you should be fine. I've driven a stick shift in San Francisco a few times and if I lived there I think I'd seriously consider an auto for all those hills and stop lights.

I don't think its that hard to learn, and I dd my evo and the traffic does get pretty bad sometimes. I think you kinda just get used to it.
