different tuning options(no EMS)

i am hearing so many cool features and stuff with the new accessport for the evo. i like the fact that i cant swith maps on the fly and from what i read it has a lot of cool different things. i just want your opinion should i just stick with ecuflash when i get tuned or go accessport? and theres also that greddy mivec controller thing or something how does that work, and what do you think about that. and will i be able to do any datalogging with the accessport or the greddy device?so what do you think. will i make the most power with ecuflash or would the power be the same with the other two devices as well. thanks for all your help all the time as always.

I don't have much experience with the AP on the evo but from dealing with it with my Sti (and assuming they're using the same concept), the AP is great for someone that doesn't know how to tune and is looking for some premade maps for different stages. It does not maximize the potential of your mods however. You need to get it protuned by an authorized shop to get the most out of it, hence making it useless as far as I'm concerned. You can just get a ecuflash for much less. Its like introducing a middle man with all the advances that have been made tuning the evo ecu.

For instance, when I uploaded AP stage ii on my 05 sti I only made around 285awhp. After getting protuned at Agile that number went up to 300awhp and 315awtq. This was with only a tbe... Also, the drivability was improved 100% with the protune.
