BR Regains MPH Record!! 10-15-07 **172.74MPH**
Congrats Dave - can't wait for that car to hook and see what ET it will run.
Thanks for an awesome event this past weekend. I drew your name for the first round of elimination in Q16 - was sorry to hear that you broke.

In case anyone missed it here it is again. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=301699
I don't know what the ET potential of the car is. The problem with the AWD stuff is it never 60's the way a RWD car will. I've gone 7's at 167 mph in RWD cars and a bunch of 7.8's at 171 mph. I've even gone 7.50's at 175 mph. The 60 foot times on those cars were as low as 1.09 though. Something that's just not going to happen in an AWD EVO.
I don't honestly know what the potential of the car is for ET. As you can see AMS and ourselves are typically fighting to just make 8 second runs in the car as many of them are in the low 9's.
There are a lot of comments from the "internet racers" that really need to be ignored (not in this particular thread) about what the car should or shouldn't be doing. It's a tough game that requires a lot of work, money and effort, in actuality a bunch of luck and prayers too.
We'll keep on trying until we grow tired of it and move onto something else.

I have another friend who has a 1st gen dsm that is awd but he uses a hand brake which really helps with his 60fts. I'm going to give that a shot next season.
Ive been finding that is a really fine line with slipping the clutch off the line and some luck to get her to hook right and not break lose or bog.
Very impressive with the MPH ya have all the aero work paid off
Thanks ifarted, we've used a few different things to help hold the car on the line this year experimenting. The staging brake is the most difficult to get the hang of using and is what is in our car now.
